We're All Gonna Make It

WAGMI token

Issued on Ethereum

The new $WAGMI token

A clean, community-owned token issued natively on Ethereum — fully distributed, with 100% of net platform fees buying back WAGMI for the Reserve.

Platform fees buy back WAGMI.

Net fees generated on the WAGMI platform are used to buy $WAGMI through the market and place it in the Reserve. The entire supply was distributed without an insider pre-allocation.

100%

Of supply distributed

The entire supply is in circulation. No low float, no high FDV overhang, no unlock cliffs waiting to sell.

0%

Pre-allocated to insiders

Nothing was set aside for the team or investors. All supply was bought and distributed to the market.

Tokenomics

Earned into circulation, like Bitcoin

Nothing pre-allocated

All $WAGMI supply has been bought and distributed — none was reserved for insiders. Just like Bitcoin, where every satoshi had to be earned through mining.

Migrate to Ethereum

The migration issues one new WAGMI for each net legacy WAGMI received by the migration contract. The old Virtuals-issued token's transfer fee may reduce the amount received from the gross amount sent.

Any tokens that aren't migrated go into a Reserve the community governs — voting over time on whether to provide liquidity, burn, distribute, or otherwise deploy them.

The migration

Why we're moving to a new token

We're migrating from the old $WAGMI token issued by Virtuals Protocol on Base to a new $WAGMI issued natively on Ethereum. A clean, WAGMI-controlled contract is what makes everything else possible.

01

Free movement, no transfer fee

The current Virtuals-issued contract charges a fee on every transfer and lets its creator change fees, disable sells, or mint. We want $WAGMI to move freely, with a contract no one can alter.

02

Concentrated & full-range liquidity

The transfer fee makes WAGMI incompatible with Uniswap v3-style concentrated (CL/DCL) pools — only v2 works today. A clean contract unlocks capital-efficient liquidity.

03

Issued on Ethereum first

WAGMI becomes a natively Ethereum-issued token rather than a bridged one — then expands to non-EVM networks like Solana from a canonical source.

04

The centerpiece of the product

Owning the contract lets us build $WAGMI into Card, borrowing, governance, and LP units usable as loan collateral.

The current contract issued by Virtuals Protocol is flagged by GoPlus with the message: “its creator can change fees, disable sells, mint, or move tokens.” We are making sure that the new Ethereum contract removes these powers so $WAGMI can be trusted as the centerpiece of Card, borrowing, governance, and protocol-owned liquidity.

Migration status

Migration opens 8 Sep

The new Ethereum-issued $WAGMI contract is live. Migration from the current Base token and Ethereum WAGMI/USDC liquidity are scheduled to open on 8 Sep. Nothing is required from you in the meantime — your existing $WAGMI is safe.
